“My No. 1 mission is to teach young men to not only be good students and players, but ultimately good husbands, fathers, providers and citizens. Obviously I’d like to win every game, but I’d also like every kid who comes through our program to leave a better person for having been here. That’s really my dream.

I love my guys. The best part of my day is when I hear from a former player. I’ll get an email, text or phone call every once in a while, and to me, that’s what it’s all about — the relationships we build here. That’s what makes our athletics program, university and community so special. We’re a family."
