Field Trips
Bring your class to the Ott Planetarium for a special show tailored to your needs. Our 60 seat theater can accommodate up to 55 students plus teachers and chaperons (we require at least 1 adult for every 10 students).

Need help with bus fare? The Utah Aerospace Education Foundation subsidizes field trips to planetaria and science museums!
Your Field Trip in N Easy Steps:
- Review the offerings on our Show List.
- See our Rate Schedule for pricing.
- Decide which Science and Astronomy topics you would like us to cover during your visit.
- Contact us at least two weeks before your field trip date to make reservations. (Reservations are required and must be confirmed with planetarium staff.)
- Arrange transportation to Weber State University. (Parking Passes are required until 4:00pm on weekdays. Busses park free. See "Directions & Parking" for more information.)
- Please arrive on time. The planetarium is tightly scheduled. We cannot guarantee the full scheduled time to late arrivals.
- Teachers, Adults, and Leaders: you are expected to maintain the discipline of your group.
Important Notes:
- Our theater has a Maximum Capacity of 60. To comply with safety regulations and to ensure audience comfort, groups with more than 60 persons must schedule additional shows. No exceptions.
- Commercial films may not be shown in the planetarium without appropriate licensing and authorization from the film maker.
- Food and Drink are not allowed in the planetarium.
- Disruptive audience members will be asked to leave the theater.
