Scouting at the Planetarium

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts can fulfill the requirements for Sky Search (Juniors), or Space Exploration (Seniors) during our 2.5 hour workshop. Reservations are required for this program.

We require a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 10 scouts.

Each scout should arrive on time, ready to participate, with a pencil and notepad.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts can fulfill the requirements for the Astronomy Merit Badge during our 2.5 hour workshop. Reservations are required for this program.

We require a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 10 scouts.

Each scout should arrive on time, in uniform, with a pencil, notepad, and a blue card signed by a unit leader.

We expect each scout to abide by the Scout Oath and Law during the visit.

Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts and Weblos can fulfill the requirements for the Astronomy Belt Loop during a 1 hour workshop. Reservations are required for this program.

We require a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 10 scouts.

Each scout should arrive on time, in uniform, with a pencil and notepad.

Important Notes:
  • Our theater has a Maximum Capacity of 60. To comply with safety regulations and to ensure audience comfort, groups with more than 60 persons must schedule additional shows. No exceptions.

  • Commercial films may not be shown in the planetarium without appropriate licensing and authorization from the film maker.

  • Food and Drink are not allowed in the planetarium.

  • Disruptive audience members will be asked to leave the theater.
