How to Call in Sick
It is your responsibility to notify your supervisor if you are sick or running late for a scheduled show. It is also critical that you give as much notice as possible.
Supervisor cellphone numbers are posted in the planetarium office and are also listed in the reservations calendar.
Management Chain
The Planetarium Director (Dr. Palen) has delegated duties involving the day-to-day operations of the planetarium to the Assistant Planetarium Director and the Production Coordinator. The Assistant Planetarium Director and Production Director are equal in rank and are directly supervised by the Planetarium Director.
The Assistant Planetarium Director (AmyJo) supervises the lecture staff and interns, manages scheduling, and issues show assignments, special project assignments, and deadlines.
The Production Coordinator (Ron) supervises the production staff and interns, provides technical support for the planetarium equipment, and coordinates show production by issuing production assignments and deadlines.
