Class for the CORE started on January 5th 2004 and ended on April 12th, with the 12th being our final exam for SFO certification.

Search and Seizure, Arrest Control, Firearms orientation, Liabilities of Police, Juvenile Law and Procedures, Patrol Concepts, Civil Disputes, more Arrest Control, more Utah Code, our legal exam, Ethics and Professionalism, Media Relations, more Arrest Control, Discretionary Decision Making, Victimology, more physical training, and Interpersonal Communications.

March

Gang Awareness, Abnormal Behavior, Corrections Facilities, our Arrest Control test, Blood borne pathogens, Dress Uniform and appearance, Understanding Human Behavior, Spanish for Law Enforcement, Stress management, First Aid, Haz-mat, Cultural Competence, Criminal History and Fingerprinting, CPR, Drug Familiarization, First Aid/CPR and 10-code tests, even more physical training, and our favorite, the Physical Fitness final down at POST in Salt Lake.

April

Radio Communications, Community Contact and Conflict Resolution and Basic Interview Techniques with our final SFO exam on the 12th.

We have no class from April 13th to the 20th, with the POC starting up on the 21st.

POC #50 classes started on the 21st and we had classes on Hostages & Barricaded Subjects, Community Oriented Policing/Problem solving, Firearms care, safety and cleaning, and Reasonable Force with PT in there a couple of times.

May

We have firearms training every Saturday in Brigham City. Crimes in Progress, Vehicle Stops, PT, Report Writing and Pedestrian Approaches have been covered so far. We also have vehicle and felony traffic stop practicals this month.

June

Arrest Control, Vehicle Liability, Crimes in Progress practicals, Introduction to Vehicle Operations, and Firearms are our classes this month.

July

July is Emergency Vehicle Operations at the Utah Highway Patrol driving range in Lehi Utah,  Arrest Control and Firearms with a class on Dead Body Investigations.

August

DUI certification, ACT exam, EVO exam, Child abuse and neglect, Elder abuse and neglect, Domestic Disputes, Drug Recognition, and Case Preparations.
