The Weber State University Small Business Development Center provides free one-on-one business consultation. Please call Beverly King at 801-626-7232 or e-mail bking1@weber.edu to schedule an appointment. You may also request counseling through the Utah SBDC website at http://utahsbdc.org. 

Consultation may include assistance with the following:

Needs Assessment – Analyze your business to assess strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.

Business Planning – Define your company’s goals and objectives and develop the strategies to achieve them.

Market Research and Market Strategy – Investigate markets for your product or service, evaluate the competition and develop a marketing strategy.

Financial Analysis – Evaluate your company’s past and present financial health and position. Enhance your skills in basic accounting, control and record keeping practices.

Cash Flow Analysis and Financial Projections – Anticipate your cash position and determine the cash you need to operate your business. Prepare financial forecasts and evaluate cash flow needs. Improve cash flow through effective management of assets and liabilities.

Debt and Equity Funding Development – Evaluate financing requirements and sources, plan for future funding needs and prepare funding proposals.

Business Valuation Methods– Determine value of a business for use in buying or selling a company.

Strategic Planning – Determine where you want your business to go, and how to get there through effective decision making.

Management Issues – Examine your company policies and procedures, management and organization.

Information Technology – Computerize your accounting system and use the Internet to build a competitive advantage.
