"I started at Weber State thinking I'd be a lawyer, but changed my mind after spending two years in Japan, where many people had terrible teeth.
"The year I graduated, almost everyone from Weber who applied to medical or dental school got in. That wasn't the case with students from other schools.
"My career is very rewarding, especially when I get to serve people in need. I helped set up a free medical and dental clinic at a school for children with disabilities in Northern Mexico. A lot of them were just lying around on mattresses all day and were never taken out in public because their parents didn't know what to do with them, or were too ashamed of them. Now, they have a thriving clinic that benefits the entire community."
